Copyright & DMCA

WangMama Translations takes copyright seriously and works with authors and rights holders to address concerns quickly. If you own — or are authorized to act for the owner of — a copyright and believe content here infringes it, please send us a takedown notice using the steps below. We act promptly on complete, good-faith requests submitted under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

How to send a takedown notice

Email our designated agent at dmca@wangmama.org. For your notice to be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), please include every item below:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  3. The specific material you say is infringing, described well enough for us to find it — please give the exact page URL(s).
  4. How to reach you: full name, mailing address, phone number, and email.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner.

When we receive a complete notice we will remove or disable the identified material and make a reasonable effort to let the affected contributor know. Please note that knowingly misrepresenting infringement can carry liability for damages under § 512(f).

If your content was removed by mistake

You can file a counter-notice with dmca@wangmama.org. Under § 512(g)(3) it needs to include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and phone number; a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court for your district (or, if you are outside the United States, any district where we may be found); and a statement that you will accept service of process from the party who sent the original notice.
